Still Waters Elementary will be taking our first field trip of the year on September 28th. The students will visit Gwinnett Fire Station 11 for a tour of the facility!

In preparation for the trip, our elementary class will be holding a nonperishable food drive!
Did you know fire fighters can work in shifts of 24-48 hours, during which time they will actually live at the fire station? We ask that all families please participate in this great opportunity to surprise our local neighborhood firefighters with some yummy snacks and also teach our children one of many ways to give back to these brave men and women of our community that protect us every day!
How you can help
Please bring two to three nonperishable food items for your child to give to the firefighters during our field trip on September 28th. Some suggested items to provide are:
- cookies
- trail mix
- roasted peanuts
- chips
- soups
- coffee
- cereal
- Any other snacks that don’t have to be refrigerated.
Items will be collected in student’s classroom. Please feel free to bring during morning drop-off!
Please deliver any items purchased to your child’s classroom during morning drop-off. There will be a large basket item collection. Our last day for collection will be Friday morning September 28th and we will deliver the items during our field trip! Thank you for your support!
